This one started as framing and red dirt. McRay roofed the house as part of the build, working from the bare deck up: underlayment across every plane, then the slate style field, then copper at the chimneys, walls and valleys.
A roof with this many hips, dormers and chimneys lives or dies on its flashing. Every chimney gets copper step and counter flashing worked into the stone, and the valleys are lined in copper so water has a clean path off the roof for decades.
The crew documented the whole build, from the attic framing to the last course at the ridge, so the owners have a photo record of what is under the finished roof.
